Environmental Screening Process (ESP)
Millers Road Waste Disposal Site
Expansion Project
Town of Deep River
Background
On July 27, 2011 the Town of Deep River initiated a study under
Ontario Regulation 101/07.
This regulation was created to facilitate designated waste
projects at small rural waste disposal sites whereby an exemption
from Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (EAA) is recognized
if an Environmental Screening Process (ESP) is completed.
The ESP for the
Millers Road Waste Disposal Site
is intended to
determine the feasibility of increasing the landfill capacity by
40,000m3 but by not more than 100,000m3.
How to Get Involved?
The Municipality will be scheduling Public Information Centres where
information will be shared and opportunities provided to ask
questions and provide comments.
The website will post upcoming consultations events and
maintain current information on the ESP.
