Summermusic Musical Instrument Petting Zoo
Deep River Summermusic 2020 daycamp is hosting our third annual Musical Instrument Petting Zoo on Saturday, March 7th between 2:30 and 4:30 (free drop-in), at the Christian Education Centre, beside the Community Church, on Deep River Road. Wondering what instrument to choose for our Junior Program for beginners? Always wanted to try a cello or a trumpet? This is your chance to try out several instruments, all at one stop! Pick up your Passport when you arrive, and as you visit each station – there will be one each for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, recorder, violin, cello, trumpet, trombone, and euphonium – you will get a sticker beside each instrument on your Passport. Most of our Summermusic 2020 faculty will be at the Zoo to help you out. It’s a great time to meet the friendly and knowledgeable staff who will be teaching those instruments at Summermusic camp. Of course, you don’t have to be registering for music camp to join in. Anyone is most welcome to explore the various instruments: adults, too! There will be lots to see and hear, and lots of fun for all ages. At Summermusic, we are always keen to encourage any musical interest, and the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo is a great place to start. Bring your friends, bring your grandparents, and tell your neighbours to come, too. The Musical Instrument Petting Zoo is open to all, and is completely free!
