FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS WORKSHOP
 
The Coaches Association of Ontario & the Deep River Recreation Department would like to invite you to participate in a unique learning opportunity being made available (date to be confirmed and will be posted soon).  The Fundamental Movement skills is an NCCP workshop open to parents, coaches and youth leaders interested in helping children 3-12 develop mentally and physically through play & sport.

 
There’s never been a better Week to become a Coach…
 
  Entering into its 5th year, Ontario Coaches Week (April 17 to 25th, 2010) is a week long campaign that aims to recruit, develop and celebrate community coaches around the province. With funding support from provincial and federal government partners and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, several Ontario communities such as Deep River will be hosting a  FREE coach training events.

Volunteers Needed!

The Recreation Department recognizes and appreciates the dedicated volunteers who come out every year to help with programs and events such as the 1/3 Marathon & 6km race, Halloween Skate, Winter Carnival and the March Break Fun Days. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to receive volunteer hours!

ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY

The Deep River Recreation Department provides a 4' x 8' advertising space at the Deep River Arena (boards) and Grouse Park (back of ball field along fence). These spaces are in high traffic locations and generate great exposure for your business. Advertising at the arena is $100 for the first year and $225 for second year etc. The spaces at Grouse Park are $50 for the first year and $108.00 for second year etc.
