The Town of Deep River is proud of the diverse range of recreational services available to our community. Citizens are encouraged to participate and take advantage of the opportunities available to learn new skills and to make new friends.

If we currently do not offer a program that you would like to participate in, please feel free to contact us and we will work towards implementing it. We wish you a very healthy season and invite you to enjoy the benefits of participating in our community services.

Parent & Tot Soccer

The Parent & Tot Soccer Program is a 8 week program beginning May 7th and runs Tuesdays & Thursdays early evenings from 5:15-6:00 pm at Grouse Park. This is a parent & child physical development program (for children 3 & 4 years of age). It will use curriculum of fun games and challenging experiences to teach basic soccer skills such as dribbling, shooting and passing. The activities in which the children will participate are designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness and create self-confidence as well as develop listening skills. We stress a non competitive environment and promote fun above all else.

Childrens Ball Hockey

The Recreation Department is very excited to offer a Children/Youth Spring Ball Hockey Program.
The program is designed for boys and girls between the ages 8 - 10 and 11-14 who are looking for a fun, recreational environment. This program will run on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 pm and 7:15-8:15 pm the Deep River Arena, beginning May 7th
