HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE

HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE

Please be advised that hydrant flushing is occuring on Highway 17.

Flushing is part of a routine

maintenance program that is necessary to maintain the integrity of

the water system, remove sediment from water mains, verify

the proper operation of hydrants and valves, and maintain fire

fighting capability.

Residents throughout Town may experience a drop in water

pressure and water may be rusty or cloudy due to flushing of the distribution system. If you have rust-coloured water please run

your COLD WATER TAPS ONLY (suggested taps: outside

hose, bathtub or laundry tub) until the water is clear.

Please DO NOT use your hot water until you have clean running water again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have any questions, please contact the
