Public Service Announcement Royal Canadian Air Force Helicopter to Support Deep River Summerfest 2026 with Flypast July 29, 2026 – Kingston, Ontario – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces A CH-147F Chinook helicopter from 1 Wing is scheduled to conduct a flypast over Mackenzie Campus Field in Deep River, Ontario, on August 1, 2026. Following the flypast at 11 a.m. EDT, the aircraft will land at the field and be available for public viewing during a static display until 2 p.m. as part of Deep River Summerfest 2026. The aircraft will operate at altitudes no less than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route. Flight activities may generate unfamiliar noise and attract the attention of local residents. ? Royal Canadian Air Force flights are meticulously planned and closely monitored to ensure public safety, with operations contingent on weather and flying conditions. World Skydiving Day: On Saturday, July 11, Airborne Petawawa will join thousands of dropzones around the world in an attempt to set a new World Skydiving Day Record for the most skydives completed in a single day. Whether it's a first tandem skydive or a jump by a seasoned skydiver, every participant helps move the global total higher. Petawawa Veteran Boogie: Airborne Petawawa is also excited to announce that nominations are now open for their Petawawa Veteran Boogie, taking place on August 19 and made possible through the generous support of a corporate sponsor. Fifteen Canadian Armed Forces members and veterans will be selected to receive a complimentary tandem skydive over the Ottawa Valley.
