Water Main Projects - Water Discoloration Notices
The Town of Deep River is undertaking a large watermain upgrade project that will include existing water mains being replaced as well as the installation of new mains. During this process water flow direction and flow rates may be altered. This can cause homeowners to experience discoloration of water. The presence of discoloration should be short lived.
If you experience discolored water, please run the cold water until it runs clear.
Although we cannot foresee every instance of discolored water, when we are aware that disturbances may occur we will post notice here 24 hours prior to work that may cause issues. If you wish to subscribe to e-mail updates, please see the box to the right.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank any affected homeowners during this construction time for your patience and understanding.
July 12 & 13
The Ontario Clean Water Agency intends to put the new Algonquin Street water main into service on July 12 & 13. This is likely to cause discolored water in some areas of Town due to lengthy flushing procedures.
