Accessibility in Deep River
The purpose of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and to provide for identification and removal of barriers. To this end, the ODA mandates that each municipality prepare an annual accessibility plan.
Statement of Commitment:
The Town of Deep River is committed to ensuring equal access for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We are committed to the continual improvement to access to all municipally owned facilities, premises and services for all persons with disabilities. We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of peoplewith disabilities in a timely manner.
