In April 2021, Council adopted By-law 10-2021 A By-Law To Regulate The Keeping Of Backyard Hens In The Town Of Deep River For A Three (3) Year Pilot Project.
This pilot project ends in April 2024, and we are interested in hearing from residents about their experience. We have proposed that residents continue to be allowed to keep backyard hens, with some minor amendments to the regulations—see the proposed by-law and accompanying report below.
