Vaccination Requirements (Deep River Arena & Community Pool)

Regarding : Vaccination Requirement as of September 22, 2021

On September 1, 2021 it was announced that the Provincial Government in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, will require people to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to access certain businesses and settings starting September 22, 2021.

As a recreational facility with a meeting and event space, the Deep River Arena and the Community Pool are included in the list of businesses and settings. As such, effective September 22, 2021, facility users will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination (vaccine receipt) along with ID to access these facilities.

While the Government’s announcement speaks to an exception of youth recreational sport, the Town of Deep River has developed Safety Measures and Protocols to keep individuals and staff safe while visiting our facilities. Vaccination Requirement Deep River 2021.pdf

The Town of Deep River recreation staff will manage the proof of vaccination screening for patrons visiting the Deep River Arena and Community Pool. We ask that facility users provide the Town with an attendance sheet that includes contact information for purposes of contact tracing. A record of the attendance from your rental, must be submitted to carmstrong@deepriver.ca within 12 hours of your rental.
