Death of the Honourable Hilary Weston, C.M., C.V.O., O.Ont.
As per the Rules for Half-masting the National Flag of Canada (Section 10), the flags on all Government of Canada buildings and establishments in the province of Ontario, except for the Peace Tower in Ottawa, will be flown at half-mast from August 4, 2025, until sunrise on August 7, 2025, in honour of the late Hilary Weston, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, who passed away on August 2, 2025.
Additionally, the flags on all Government of Canada buildings and establishments in the province of Ontario, except for the Peace Tower in Ottawa, will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on the day of the memorial service (date to be determined) of the late Hilary Weston.
