Are You on the Voters’ List?
Municipal Updates to the Electors’ List
In order to vote in a municipal Council or School Board Election you need to be on the Voters' List.
After September 1, 2026 Electors will need to register with the municipality to update their information. The period for revisions done by the municipality to the Voters’ List is from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 until the close of voting on Voting Day (Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 PM). If a person is not on the Voters’ List or wishes to amend their information, he or she must complete the “Application to Amend Voters’ List” Form EL15 to request an amendment to the Voters’ List by the Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer at the municipality.
The municipal Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer shall require proof of identification as prescribed. For a list of the acceptable documents for voter identification please review the following: Acceptable Documents for Voter Identification List. Your name and address can then be added or amended on the Voters’ List and a Voter Information Letter (VIL) can be issued by the Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer.
To check if your name is on the Voters’ List please contact the Municipal Office at (613) 584-2000 or via email at Vote@deepriver.ca.
