2026 Operating and Capital Budget

The Town is pleased to present the proposed 2026 Operating and Capital Budgets.

The budget approval process will follow these timelines:

  • January 31, 2026: The first draft of the budget is published (links below)
  • January 31, 2026: Public survey opens for comments on the first draft of the budget (link here)
  • February 11, 2026: The first draft of the budget is presented to Council
  • February 22, 2026: The public survey closes
  • February 25, 2026: Council Meeting (6:00pm in Council Chambers, Deep River Town Hall)
    • Public Meeting is held at the Council Meeting
    • A summary of public survey results is presented to Council
    • A second draft of the budget is presented to Council (includes any amendments proposed at the February 11th meeting of Council)
  • March 11, 2026: Third draft presented to Council (includes amendments proposed at the February 25th meeting of Council)

A public meeting will be held to receive comments and feedback on the proposed 2026 budget on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers.
