Hydrant Flushing – Extended Notice
The Town's spring hydrant flushing program has been extended and will continue in the East end of Town until June 26th, 2026.
Flushing is part of a routine maintenance program that is necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system, remove sediment from water mains, verify the proper operation of hydrants and valves, and maintain firefighting capability.
Residents in the East end of Town may experience a temporary drop in water pressure, and water may become discoloured due to flushing of the distribution system. If you experience discoloured water, please run your COLD-WATER TAPS ONLY (suggested taps: outside hose, bathtub, or laundry tub) until the water runs clear.
Please DO NOT use your hot water until you have clear running water again.
