2026 Road Rehabilitation Project
Why is this project happening?
Deep River is committed to enhancing the safety, accessibility, and longevity of our local infrastructure.
These upgrades will focus on rehabilitating Banting Road (from the highway to McEligott Drive), Huron Street (from Rutherford Avenue to Ridge Road), Alder Crescent (from Ridge Road to Laurier Avenue), and Glendale Avenue (Algonquin Street to Hillcrest Avenue).
Will there be public engagement and communication?
Yes, regular updates and notices will be posted on the town website, North Renfrew times and on Facebook. Door-to-door notification will be completed for those directly affected by the project.
Are there any risks for this project?
Yes, this project is weather dependent, if the project is delayed due to weather notices will be posted on Facebook and the town website as soon as possible.
How will this project be done?
All road rehabilitation work will be completed using a mill and pave process, which involves removing the top layer of existing asphalt and replacing it with new pavement to restore the roadway surface and extend its lifespan.
