Living Legacy: A Personal Writing Project

The Town of Deep River invites all seniors to a six-week facilitated memoir writing workshop on Monday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:00, Nov 10 to December 15th in the library programming room.

The workshop will be generative and writing will be done on site. Instructive methods, basic non-fiction structure and prompts will be delivered by facilitator Margaret Macpherson (MFA) at the beginning of each class allowing participants an opportunity to document their lives in a living legacy format. Materials generated in first draft form will not be shared with the group and feedback will only be provided by Margaret following at-home revision, Professional feedback is at the request of the writer. Privacy and confidentiality will be honoured.
