Luminary Workshop with Forest Cove Alpacas

Time 1:30 - 3:30 PM 

Topics in this 3-hour class include: a brief history of wool and its use in felting, how felting occurs, and the felting process using the wet felting technique. Instructor demonstration and hands-on assistance will provide you with techniques and examples to assist you with your creation. Spark your inner creativity and combine fabulous fibers to felt these gorgeous vessels. 

You will be creating an original piece of felted fabric which will be transformed into a vessel/luminary. You will be working with a variety of wonderful unique fibres including merino wool, silk, blends, viscose, bamboo, wool nepps, Angelina fibre and of course... Alpaca fibre grown on the Farm. They are wonderful to create as your first foray into wet felting, as a casual project, or even as functional gifts for friends and family!
