Winter is coming, and keeping seniors active and safe is our goal. ‘Ice Cleats’ are used by outdoor workers in several Ontario counties. The SFC has found a supplier, purchased a quantity and will be selling them at a reduced price to members. Ice Cleats are easy to put on boots which have a step at the heel (but may not work for tennis-shoe soles). An adjustable elastic strap rotates the pad to the top of footwear for indoor wear or while driving. The rubber pad contains 5 tungsten carbide studs, pad is 44 mm by 77 mm (1.75 by 3 inches); thickness is 8 mm (0.3 inches). Price for SFC members is $25. These will be available for sale at registration night, at our monthly socials or by contacting SFC as shown below.
